The Carsey-Wolf Center is committed to screening documentaries from across the world that engage with contemporary and historical issues, especially regarding social justice and environmental concerns. Documentaries allow filmmakers to address pressing issues and frame the critical debates of our time.
Our documentary events promote vital dialogue by allowing audiences to engage with films and filmmakers in a post-screening discussion. Past events have included All Light, Everywhere with director Theo Anthony; The Last Picture Shows with director Rustin Thompson; Antidote with documentary participant Vladimir Kara-Murza; Pistachio Wars with filmmakers Yasha Levine and Rowan Wernham; Chronicles of the Absurd with director Miguel Coyula; The Other Roe with director Wendy Eley Jackson; and John Lilly and the Earth Coincidence Control Office with director Courtney Stephens.
