Memorias Del Desarrollo

  • Wednesday, October 23, 2013 / 7:00 PM (PDT)
  • Pollock Theater
  • Screening Format: Blu-Ray (120 Minutes)
  • With Miguel Coyula (Director)

The Pollock Theater’s first Film Festival showcases the diverse talents of emerging Cuban filmmakers. With state-of-the-art presentation and post screening Q&A’s with directors, this festival offers a unique experience that should not be missed.

An intellectual leaves the Cuban revolution and ‘underdevelopment’ behind only to find himself at odds with the ambiguities of his new life in the ‘developed’ world. This film is a portrait of alienation, of an outsider with no clear-cut politics or ideology.

We were joined for a post-screening Q&A with Director Miguel Coyula, moderated by the Department of Film and Media Studies Chair Cristina Venegas.

This event is sponsored by the Carsey-Wolf Center and the Department of Film & Media Studies.
