The CWC provides funding for projects that require a quick response outside of our existing RFP deadlines. Proposals can include screenings, colloquia, or daylong events that respond to unexpected or sudden events, or problems that require immediate action and are aligned with the CWC’s mission, vision, and goals. A strong application will clearly indicate the significance of the proposed project and the urgency of the request. The internal faculty advisory committee will review proposals and recommend funding. Time-critical programs that have the potential to lead to subsequent long-term funding are encouraged, but a long-term funding plan is not required.

Please submit your proposal to carseywolfresearch@gmail.com, with a copy to ezinn@carseywolf.ucsb.edu.

Proposals should include:

  • A description of your proposed project (no more than two double-spaced pages) that indicates the urgency of the request and its alignment with the mission of the Carsey-Wolf Center
  • A detailed budget for your project
