Carsey-Wolf Center at UC Santa Barbara 
The Center is delighted to welcome Professor Ross Melnick as its interim director for 2025-2026. A distinguished scholar of media industries, Dr. Melnick brings an exciting collaborative vision and depth of expertise to the Center. Melnick's previous work with the Carsey-Wolf Center includes his recent discussion of The Sound of Fury with film historian Rebecca Prime, his virtual discussion of the state of moviegoing during the pandemic with Manohla Dargis and Alison Kozberg, and the 2018 symposium Rediscovering U.S. Newsfilm.
