My experience with the Juveniles Injustice Archive has been an invaluable undergraduate experience. I’ve been working under Richard Ross, a local photographer who has taken photos and interviewed incarcerated juveniles for almost two decades. These photographs have been featured in content for youth justice nonprofits and news articles. For the past quarter and a half, I’ve been helping archive the audio and photos into comprehensive files that will hopefully go on to become an online archive that’s open to all. I have gained experience in Photoshop, Adobe Bridge, Audacity, and more. Through working with Mr. Ross, I’ve learned more about freelance work and how to pitch to different institutions when crafting a project of this scale
