I was able to intern with the Universal Pictures Home Entertainment Publicity team, where I spent ten weeks immersed in the world of film publicity. I gained professional writing, creative marketing, and organizational skills while contributing to campaigns for films like Jurassic World Rebirth, The Bad Guys 2, and Him. From drafting press releases and brainstorming influencer kits to assisting with travel coordination, every task was a valuable learning experience. The summer came to a rewarding close as I applied all I had learned to craft and present a publicity pitch for the upcoming Wicked: For Good campaign.
I’m incredibly grateful for the knowledge and skills I gained this summer and am excited to apply them in my future endeavors. This experience was truly a pivotal part of my professional journey. It not only provided me with critical skills but also inspired me to share my knowledge with others. As the President of Women in Media, I am excited to bring these behind-the-scenes insights to my fellow UCSB students. Your support was the key that unlocked this opportunity for me, allowing me to live in Los Angeles and gain the experience that has set me up for success after graduation.
