Scott Frank has written the screenplays for Little Man Tate, Dead Again, Get Shorty, Out of Sight, Minority Report, The Interpreter, The Lookout, Marley & Me, A Walk Among the Tombstones, and Logan, as well as the teleplays for the limited series Godless and The Queen’s Gambit.

He directed The Lookout, A Walk Among the Tombstones, Godless, and The Queen’s Gambit.

He has been nominated twice for Academy Awards for writing, and six times for Emmy Awards, winning two as director and producer of The Queen’s Gambit.

He has won the Writer’s Guild Award for Out of Sight and The Queen’s Gambit, the latter of which he also won the Director’s Guild Award.

He most recently co-wrote and directed the upcoming series Monsieur Spade that will air on AMC+ in early 2024.

His novel, Shaker, was published by Knopf in 2016.

He lives with his wife in New York City.
