The Pollock Theater, funded by a generous gift from Dr. Joseph and Helene Pollock, is a 296-seat, state-of-the-art media exhibition hall equipped to show media ranging from early silent films to the latest in digital filmmaking. The Theater features a sound system by Meyer Sound, and video equipment supplied through a generous donation from Sony Corporation. Visit this page for more information about the Pollock Theater.

The Pollock Theater’s Michael Douglas Lobby, sponsored by Oscar-winner and UC Santa Barbara alumnus Michael Douglas (’68), is a beautiful gathering space for receptions and special events held at the theater. The lobby features a media wall for screening art exhibits and announcing upcoming events.

The Sound Stage provides student filmmakers with equipment and facilities for creating high-quality media productions. This 1250-square-foot production studio, located at the rear of the Pollock Theater, is the only dedicated space for student media production on the UC Santa Barbara campus.

The Carsey-Wolf Center’s main offices are located on the fourth floor of UC Santa Barbara’s Social Science and Media Studies building.

The Production Suite consists of two screening rooms, an animation lab and an editing lab.  Its state-of-the-art facilities provide students with the space and technology they need to pursue creative, independent, experimental work.  These spaces are used by students courses housed in the Department of Film and Media Studies, including the Carsey-Wolf Center’s Blue Horizons and Green Screen programs.

The Scott and Jennifer Frank Screening Room, funded by a gift from screenwriter and alumnus Scott Frank (’82) and his wife Jennifer, is one of two screening rooms in the production suite.
