Center InternThe Carsey-Wolf Center seeks interns to help plan and coordinate events on campus and in Santa Barbara.  The Center sponsors a range of events during the school year, including conferences, film screenings, panel discussions, and presentations.

Interns assist in all aspects of the event planning process, including developing public relations, working with vendors, making logistical arrangements, and assisting with on-site event coordination. Interns will work approximately 8 hours per week and at the events, which may be during evenings and weekends. Interns will attend weekly workshops on Fridays that will cover: event planning, analysis, logistics, marketing, theater management, camera techniques, and event production. Students wil have an opportunity to plan, design, and pitch their own event ideas.

Carsey-Wolf Center internships are unpaid, however students can obtain 2 Independent Study units for the internship through the Department of Film and Media Studies or from their major.  See the Center Internship Apply page for details.

Successful interns will be given priority in applying for positions with the Carsey-Wolf Center's Media Internship Program, which places qualified UC Santa Barbara students in internships with media companies in Santa Barbara or Los Angeles for two consecutive quarters.
